Its been a while since I have put up a blog post. and since I am finally free from school work for a few hours and since I am waiting for my iPod to charge so I can enjoy music while I sit in the great out doors enjoying this weather, I decided to write a blog post and inform you on a few very cool things.
As most of you know I grew up with the teachings that it was possible that you could lose your salvation, and my first year of Bible College I fought trying to figure out what is truth. Well I was sitting in my Acts class for the past few weeks and we were talking about the topic of baptism. Well that got me thinking about my baptism, I was been baptized when I was around 10 years old. and I started remembering moments on the playground of elementary school telling kids that I was going to heaven because I was baptized and getting really angry at someone and going in my head "No Calvin, you cant punch them in the face, you are baptized now." I also specifically remembered the moment I realized I wanted to be baptized, it was the same day that two of my friends from church were being baptized. and I realized that I had all the wrong motives and wrong believes about baptism. Well after talking with many people, and a lot of prayer I am going to be baptized again Wednesday April 27 at TRBC. Now knowing for sure that my sins are forgiven and that I have a relationship with Christ, not doing it for my own attention but for God's glory.
Other news, I applied for a job...at McDonald's so I am hoping to hear from them rather soon. and I applied to be a prayer leader on my hall for next year! so those are two exciting things I am waiting to hear about. I have to work on my summer plans still so I can graduate in the fall, and there is a possibility that I will be working with CEF in the near future. those are a few quick prayer requests that I have. and my iPod is nearly recharged. get off Facebook and go enjoy the great weather we are having! hurry...before it snows again...
That is so exciting, Calvin!!!
